God’s Answer Is Greater Than Your Request

God always answers prayer, but disappointment comes when we don't like the answer we receive, not when He fails to give one. Prayer is not about informing God of our needs since He already knows them; it is apprenticeship, learning to want what He wants more than we want what we asked for. You know you're praying by faith when you're more excited to hear His answer than to get your request granted, because His answer eclipses ours every time. Peter didn't sink because he saw the storm, he sank because he looked away from Jesus, and the same God who walks with us in the storm is the God who can also still it.
