God has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness, and if you truly believe you have everything, you will never miss anything. Saying I am not there yet quietly contradicts His counsel, because it is not by works, and there is no time to become like Him except the present. To keep talking about how little you have and how far you fall short is not humility; it is arrogance, a rejection of what God said He made you. You cannot do the will of God, but you can be it, letting His counsel become your own.
