Peter did not sink because he looked at the waves, he sank because he looked away from Jesus. Faith is not a transaction where God performs and we respond with worship, it is a relationship where our steps are already ordered by Him. When peace leaves and an issue grows larger than we are, we have shifted from seeking His kingdom to negotiating with His hands. What feels like God resisting who we are is really Him resisting who we are not, so we can know our true identity in Christ. Worship moves from praising what He does to praising who He is, and that is where our peace, our anchor, and our answers are found.
