Prayer Isn’t Asking, It’s Approaching

Prayer is not a system of petitions designed to get God's attention, it is an approach into relationship. God already knows what we have need of, so the aim of prayer shifts from securing an answer to abiding in His presence. The kingdom of heaven is described as a hidden treasure and a pearl of great price, worth surrendering everything for, found within rather than requested from outside. When we pray your kingdom come, we are not asking for something future, we are calling forth what God has already spoken as true right now. Like a seed taking root unseen, the answer is already growing before it becomes visible.
