In Genesis, 'Let Us make man in Our image' means representation, not resemblance. You were created to carry God's likeness, and the fall happened when Adam and Eve forgot that image and reached for something outside of it. The first commandment, 'have no other gods before Me, make no other image,' is bigger than idols of wood and stone, it is about never considering yourself anything other than the image of God. Adam and Eve were never lonely in the garden; they were made to multiply God's image through union, not to fill an empty place. The kingdom of God is not divided between heaven and earth, and that same image given in the beginning is being renewed now, surfacing through new vision, new sound, and new work in the earth.
