We limit ourselves by whatever we think justifies us, treating people by whether they did us right or wrong, and that is being like man, not like God. When you say you will be more like Him someday, you are actually making yourself the one in charge of becoming. He gave you His word not to rule over you but so you would be like Him, and it comes down to love. Stop waiting for time to form you into His image, because no amount of time can; only God can, and in Him you already are, here and now.
